Vanpool Formation

Easy Street® NY helps employers promote vanpools and provides vehicle insurance, a gas card and 24-hour customer support. And now, employers can offer extra tax savings to their employees who vanpool or ride the bus or train to work. For more information, check out the Commuter Choice and Commute-n-Save tax programs... they're a win-win for employers and commuters!

There are two ways to set up a vanpool program:

Commuter Vanpool

In a commuter vanpool, MetroPool works directly with interested employees. Commuters going to one or more companies in the area will share their ride to work, pay individual monthly fares, establish convenient pick-up/drop-off points and determine the best time to leave home for an on-time arrival at work. MetroPool will promote vanpools, identify potential vanpool groups, provide route planning and find new riders when necessary.

Employer Vanpool

In an employer vanpool, MetroPool works directly with employers to provide them with a turnkey vanpool service. Easy Street® NY will provide a fully insured vehicle, once the driver has been approved. Employers agree to pay a monthly rate, based on total monthly mileage, and may charge back some or all of the transportation costs to employees, without profit.

Shuttle Formation

MetroPool can organize a shuttle service between worksites and bus or train stations so employees can make their train and bus connections in a timely manner. Shuttle vans are leased from Easy Street® NY and monthly rates are based on mileage.
